James Rapisarda

I have been in the investment field for 12 years and a partner at Glass Financial Group for 11 years. During that time, I have also served as a Registered Representative and a Registered Principal with AIG Financial Advisors, Inc. My duties include branch management and compliance related issues.  Currently, I manage12 representatives attached to our SunAmerica Securities Branch Office.

The two most common questions asked of me are: Isn't your job very stressful? After managing money for 12 years I suppose you get accustomed to the daily gyrations of the markets. Whether the markets are up or down dramatically, the key is to focus on what you expect to happen next. One good thing about investment opportunities is that there is always tomorrow.

How do I keep up with the speed at which changes occur in the marketplace? Perhaps the greatest change lately is the part historical performance plays in developing investment strategy. While history may be a great teacher, it is not a good investment barometer of the future. We live in a time of speed and change. We need only to look at the changes that have occurred in our own lifetimes to realize the rapid pace of the world today. Keeping up with technology and information delivery are the most important tools being used to manage client accounts. In the future, a greater portion of our resources and time will be used to keep up with this trend.
