
Doug was born in Ogden, UT and is the youngest of four children.
He attended BYU in 1972, but interrupted his schooling to serve
a two-year church mission in Brazil from 1973-1975. He graduated
with Honors from BYU in 1977 and then attended Thunderbird
Graduate School where he received his Masters With Honors in
International Management in 1979. After graduation he took a job
with the Pillsbury Company as a commodities trader in Omaha, NE.
He traded grain until 1982 when he started working in the
financial services industry.
Doug met his wife Terry, who also works at Glass Financial,
at BYU and they were married in 1976. They have three children,
John, Greg and Michelle. Doug’s hobbies include sports and
reading. He enjoys watching sports and plays basketball several
times a week. His two favorite authors are Tom Clancy and Robert
Heinlein. His two favorite restaurants are Chino Bandido Takee
Outee and Desert Moon.
Future goals for the New Millennium-- Pan fry the big ones
and throw back the little ones—keep improving on what works well
and change what doesn’t—wants to become a better husband, father
and businessman.
